Commitment to the emotional well-being of citizens, through training and coaching

The team of RIEEB – Red Internacional de Educación Emocional y Bienestar met for the first time in our new headquarters, the Palau de Marianao in Sant Boi (if we are going to have a new headquarters… what better than a palace?) I couldn’t be happier in our new “home”!

We thus began a new stage of commitment to the emotional well-being of citizens, through training and coaching.

We share space with the Cluster of Mental Health of Catalonia, and the areas of Health and Environment of Sant Boi, with whom we are sure to find good synergies.

Thanks to the City Council of Sant Boi and all the RIEEB team for opening this new horizon of possibilities.

Moderating a round table within the framework of “Emotional Wellbeing throughout life”.

This is the second year that I participate as a member of the Board of Directors of the RIEEB – Red Internacional de Educación Emocional y Bienestar in the 33rd edition from the Summer School of the Diputació de Barcelona, this time moderating a round table within the framework of “Emotional Wellbeing throughout life”.

This round table aimed to interrelate the policies for the promotion of emotional wellbeing with life cycles, taking into account that each vital moment incorporates elements of potentiality and risk to work on emotional wellbeing. Likewise, during the course of the round table we incorporated an intersectional approach that considers the elements of social inequality as factors that impact with emotional wellbeing, and that it’s necessary to contemplate in a work that aims to strengthen socioemotional competencies and generate inclusive communities.

Dr. Nerea Galdona, Enric Bastardas and Javi Castillo participated as speakers.

It was a pleasure to share this space with them and with all the attendees dealing with such a significant topic. I cannot finish without congratulating and thanking the extraordinary organization of the coordination team of the Diputació de Barcelona, a safe bet!

Postgraduate Program in Coaching and Emotional Leadership

One of my favorite roles is being the director of the RIEEB – Red Internacional de Educación Emocional y Bienestar (International Network of Emotional Education and Wellbeing) Postgraduate Program in Coaching and Emotional Leadership, whose first edition concludes this week.

For me, directing this program is more than just a job; it’s a true passion.

In this program, we have the opportunity to explore and delve into the world of coaching and emotional leadership, two crucial areas for personal and professional growth in today’s world.

Our approach focuses not only on developing technical skills but also on cultivating a deep understanding of ourselves and others. Through a combination of theory, practice, and reflection, we provide our students with the tools and support necessary to become emotionally intelligent and effective coaches and leaders.

What I’m most passionate about in this graduate program is witnessing our students grow and flourish throughout their journey. From day one, we encourage them to explore their authenticity, challenge themselves, and open up to new ways of thinking and acting. It’s amazing to witness their transformation and see how they apply what they’ve learned in their professional career and personal life.

Passion and enjoyment of the profession in the ‘Fòrum Gastronòmic de Girona 2024’

I dare to post this “flamenco” photo because I can not reflect better how people feel when we enjoy working and feeling surrounded by people who, without exception, feel exactly the same as you: PASSION AND ENJOYMENT FOR THE PROFESSION.

Thank you for a memorable few days in the incomparable and ideal setting of the “Fòrum Gastronòmic de Girona 2024” where we were able to present our project Gastrocoaching.food (I introduced it a few days ago here) with Carme Gasull Roigé, colleague, friend and… sister-in-law. Because there are links that are not chosen and “touch”. Other links you decide to create, take care of and maintain.

With Carme we have the undecided and unwanted link, which is the family link, thanks to which the relationship created by a shared, promoted and deliberate decision to be partners and colleagues in this shared project that we started at the sweetest and most solid moment of our respective professional careers has arisen.

From it, new relationships have arisen:

Some from years ago, such as with Toni Massanés, Director of Fundació Alícia (thank you Toni, because every time I have asked you for a collaboration, I have always found a “yes” for an answer… as well as for your always close, friendly, courteous and impeccable professional stature… Fundació Alícia could not have a better ambassador)!
@judithcalix, Director of the magazine CUINA @cuinacat, reference magazine for all chefs and Cooking, Hospitality and Tourism Schools in Catalonia.
The prestigious, multifaceted and great intellectual Salvador García-Arbós.
As well as other professionals who do not appear in the image, but that I have also had the fortune to meet these days.

In the photo we all appear with the attitude that genuinely represents our Being and our Feeling. Proud and in love with what we do and who we are. Here’s to continuing to be surrounded by them and to continue to infect us with that Passion to grow, to contribute and learn, to add and share.
