Some programs are created because the market demands them.<\/p>

Others are created because they respond to a real, urgent need that has been ignored for far too long.<\/p>

This is one of those.<\/strong><\/p>

When we began designing the Master\u2019s Degree in Emotional Education and Spiritual Wellbeing at RIEEB (International Network for Emotional Education and Wellbeing), together with Campus Docent Sant Joan de D\u00e9u, we started with one key question:<\/p>

What do professionals who support other people truly need today?<\/p>

This was not an academic question. It came directly from observing what is happening inside organizations, healthcare systems, schools, and social environments.<\/p>

Highly skilled professionals are reaching their limits \u2014 not because they lack technical expertise, but because they lack the internal resources needed to sustain the emotional complexity surrounding them.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Emotion is no longer secondary. It is essential.<\/h2>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

For decades, emotional dimensions in professional environments (especially in healthcare and organizations) were treated as something \u201csoft.\u201d Something secondary. Something people were simply expected to manage on their own.<\/p>

But the data tells a different story.<\/p>

Burnout already affects 44% of healthcare professionals in Spain (AMA study, 2023). Psychological-related absenteeism continues to rise. Organizations invest millions in cultural transformation, yet results often fall short because the foundation is missing: people\u2019s ability to understand themselves and support others through change, vulnerability, and high-pressure environments.<\/p>

There is no institutional transformation without personal transformation.<\/strong><\/p>

And there is no personal transformation without genuine emotional education.<\/strong><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

What makes this master\u2019s program different?<\/h3>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

There are many programs in emotional intelligence: courses, workshops, certifications, some of them excellent.<\/p>

\u00a0<\/p>

But this program is different for three key reasons.<\/p>

  1. It integrates the spiritual dimension from a secular, evidence-based perspective.<\/strong> I understand that the word \u201cspiritual\u201d can make many professionals uncomfortable. But spirituality (understood as the human capacity to search for meaning, connect with something larger than oneself, and navigate uncertainty from a place of inner depth) is one of the strongest protective factors against suffering and professional exhaustion. This program is not about beliefs. It is about human dimensions that science can no longer ignore.<\/li>
  2. It does not treat emotion and spirituality as separate compartments.<\/strong> It approaches them as interconnected dimensions of human development. Because they are. Anyone working with people (whether in an ICU, a classroom, a leadership team, or an executive coaching process) needs an integrated perspective, not a fragmented one.<\/li>
  3. It combines academic rigor, lived experience, and professional application.<\/strong> This is not a purely theoretical master\u2019s program. Nor is it purely experiential. What makes learning transferable into real professional practice is precisely the balance between scientific foundations and practical experience.<\/li><\/ol>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
