On Introvert’s Day, let’s reflect on how introverts’ unique qualities bring unique value to leadership. Although leadership has traditionally been associated with extroversion, introverts possess skills that make them exceptional leaders:
1. Active listening
Introverts tend to be great listeners. This ability allows them to deeply understand their team, identify needs and create trusting environments.
2. Strategic reflection
Taking the time to analyze before acting allows them to make more informed and strategic decisions, especially in complex situations.
3. Authentic connection
They prefer meaningful conversations to superficial interactions. This helps them build stronger, more authentic relationships with their team members.
