Coaching is a highly useful tool for Compliance Officers

In an increasingly complex and regulated business world, we face a unique set of challenges, from risk management and regulatory compliance to effective communication and ethical decision-making.

 

Coaching offers me a safe and supportive space to explore these challenges, develop key skills, and reach my full potential.

 

It can effectively help me in several areas: strengthening my leadership to manage teams effectively and foster a culture of compliance within the organization. It is a great tool for managing the stress and pressure associated with regulatory compliance, enabling me to maintain optimal performance in challenging situations. It helps improve my communication skills, both within the organization and with regulatory authorities and external parties. It also supports me in identifying and overcoming personal and professional obstacles, developing greater self-awareness and self-confidence.

Commitment to the emotional well-being of citizens, through training and coaching

The team of RIEEB – Red Internacional de Educación Emocional y Bienestar met for the first time in our new headquarters, the Palau de Marianao in Sant Boi (if we are going to have a new headquarters… what better than a palace?) I couldn’t be happier in our new “home”!

 

We thus began a new stage of commitment to the emotional well-being of citizens, through training and coaching.

 

We share space with the Cluster of Mental Health of Catalonia, and the areas of Health and Environment of Sant Boi, with whom we are sure to find good synergies.

 

Thanks to the City Council of Sant Boi and all the RIEEB team for opening this new horizon of possibilities.

Moderating a round table within the framework of “Emotional Wellbeing throughout life”.

This is the second year that I participate as a member of the Board of Directors of the RIEEB – Red Internacional de Educación Emocional y Bienestar in the 33rd edition from the Summer School of the Diputació de Barcelona, this time moderating a round table within the framework of “Emotional Wellbeing throughout life”.

 

This round table aimed to interrelate the policies for the promotion of emotional wellbeing with life cycles, taking into account that each vital moment incorporates elements of potentiality and risk to work on emotional wellbeing. Likewise, during the course of the round table we incorporated an intersectional approach that considers the elements of social inequality as factors that impact with emotional wellbeing, and that it’s necessary to contemplate in a work that aims to strengthen socioemotional competencies and generate inclusive communities.

 

Dr. Nerea Galdona, Enric Bastardas and Javi Castillo participated as speakers.

 

 

It was a pleasure to share this space with them and with all the attendees dealing with such a significant topic. I cannot finish without congratulating and thanking the extraordinary organization of the coordination team of the Diputació de Barcelona, a safe bet!

Leadership program to Senior Executives of a bank

Recently I have been teaching a Leadership program to Senior Executives of a well-known bank.

 

I have seen a clear change of focus on the part of the entity, much more directed towards people and not only to results. These managers face new challenges and changing situations every day with a high level of stress.

 

In an organization of this size, there are many opportunities for growth, to grow into new situations and positions. And for the company it is a priority for its managers to have a clear focus on people leadership.

 

The trainings I have developed have been very rewarding, since I have perceived from all participants a great interest in their professional and personal development, even in people who already have a long career as leaders of people, which says a lot about them.

 

I love to collaborate and contribute to the creation and development of more human, more empathetic organizations where collaboration and the health of their professionals is a priority.

Yesterday,in the famous Madrid Book Fair

I was happy to be at the stand of EDITORIAL SINTESIS SA with the exhibition of the books (those that were left as it was at the end of the day…) of the COACHING COLLECTION that I have the honor of directing.

 

Happy also with the “state of good health” and the interest that the Book Fair awakens, it seemed that all of Madrid was present at the Fair!

 

Yesterday’s image with hundreds of people from all walks of life mingling, strolling around in this “festival of culture” (and carrying bags with books, not just looking…), makes me question the already commented crisis that the book world is suffering. I left the Fair with a “happy heart”!

Coaching as an intervention strategy in adulthood

We finished the subject “Coaching as an intervention strategy in adulthood” in the Official Master in Psychopedagogy at the University of Barcelona.

 

This subject provides the Coaching methodology for the exercise of their profession as labor counselors. Coaching will undoubtedly make them better, and by going deeper into it, they have been verifying it as they have been applying what they have learned in their professional environment.

 

In addition, each session has been a gift. Although they are long sessions that we always finish at 9:30pm, it is fascinating to see the level of energy with which we finish each session (including me, of course!).

 

So I can only feel lucky and grateful. I am fortunate to do what I am passionate about and grateful for the committed attitude of each and every one of the students (without exception!).

 

What an honor to contribute to PROMOTING PROFESSIONALS SEEKING PROFESSIONAL AND PERSONAL EXCELLENCE…

 

Because these are the people I want to accompany. And anything that moves away from this purpose, simply… doesn’t interest me. That’s it.

Postgraduate Program in Coaching and Emotional Leadership

One of my favorite roles is being the director of the RIEEB – Red Internacional de Educación Emocional y Bienestar (International Network of Emotional Education and Wellbeing) Postgraduate Program in Coaching and Emotional Leadership, whose first edition concludes this week.

 

For me, directing this program is more than just a job; it’s a true passion.

 

In this program, we have the opportunity to explore and delve into the world of coaching and emotional leadership, two crucial areas for personal and professional growth in today’s world.

 

Our approach focuses not only on developing technical skills but also on cultivating a deep understanding of ourselves and others. Through a combination of theory, practice, and reflection, we provide our students with the tools and support necessary to become emotionally intelligent and effective coaches and leaders.

 

What I’m most passionate about in this graduate program is witnessing our students grow and flourish throughout their journey. From day one, we encourage them to explore their authenticity, challenge themselves, and open up to new ways of thinking and acting. It’s amazing to witness their transformation and see how they apply what they’ve learned in their professional career and personal life.
